Community Events

Good community is the beating heart of church life. Growth Groups, Ministry teams, morning tea after church, and other church gatherings help us form strong community, but we like to organise special times to strengthen community.

These include:

Church lunches and picnics held every few months. These lunches are great ways to interact informally and get to know one another.

Church Planning Dinners are held roughly every two years to discuss future plans for the church. Beyond being great opportunities to get to know one another more deeply, these are also great opportunities to discuss and celebrate together what has happened in church life and to have a say on future plans.

Newcomers morning teas happen roughly every 6 months and it’s a great way to get to know some of the newer members and regular visitors and to explain some parts of church life to them.

We also used to run Community Fun Day’s which were a great way to get to know the broader community. Unfortunately we’ve had to suspend this event for the moment due to insufficient resourcing, but we’re eager to start again when we’re able.
