From the Pastor

Through the food we eat, our daily needs are fulfilled, but he or she who eats the Bread of Life, will never ever get hungry again. Such love, we should not ignore, not for the bread of this daily life, because the Bread of eternal life is forever and Christ gave Himself for us.

“Believe in Him, who was sent,” we read in our Bible Reading in John 6. We cannot do anything to be saved. We must believe! God expects of us to believe through His Spirit and faith is the gift from the Spirit.

We use the Lord’s Supper because we believe. This is our motivation. Not to believe, but because we believe as His children.

We confess: Sacraments are holy signs and seals for us to see. God instituted them so that by our use of them He might make us understand more clearly the promise of the gospel, and might put His seal on that promise. Jesus can give this food, for God has placed on Jesus, the seal of approval. God, “Have Him sealed.”

As signs the broken bread and the poured wine are displaying the broken body and the shed blood of Christ.

This is the bread of life and the wine of forgiveness. Jesus Himself is the bread of life. He worked the salvation. He will never leave. Believe in His mercy and love. Trust in Him! Those who come to Him will never be hungry again, and who believes in Him will never be thirsty!

Through faith, there is now a new life in us that we can obey God, where we have our spiritual hunger satisfied, to be never hungry again, never be forsaken again, never again to feel that life has no meaning.

We can share in Christ the Bread of Life! His flesh is true food and His blood is true drink.
